Fresh packing

Perfection Fresh's purpose-built and value-add facilities underpin our commitment to quality and innovation by delivering pre-packed produce to suit the specific needs of our various retail and export customers.

In 2009, our combined state-of-the-art facilities were processing more than 21 million consumer units of produce a year - the equivalent of 1.6 million cartons of trade units.

Our value-add facilities - which are strategically located around Australia in line with growing capabilities and for freight optimisation - comprise our Homebush Distribution Centre in Sydney (established in 2004), Bundaberg and Gatton facilities in Queensland (established in 2005), our glasshouse operation in Two Wells, South Australia (established in 2007) and our Perth facility in Western Australia (established in 2007).

While the Sydney facility concentrates on developing new processes for shelf stability and ready-to-eat options, our regional distribution and value-add centres focus on packing locally grown produce, then speeding delivery to market and to consumers.

Approximately 100 permanent and contracted staff members are employed at our value-add facilities.
