Perfection Fresh's iPhone app goes universal
Perfection Fresh Australia's iPhone app - the first of its kind in Australia - has been upgraded to offer two perfect solutions, one for mobility and the other for in-home cooking.
The free app, developed by Portal Solutions Pty Ltd and launched late last year, was designed and developed for iPhones.
Portal Solutions chief executive officer, Cynthia Richmond, said the enhanced app is now designed for both the iPhone and iPad, meaning it automatically adapts to each device.
"The repeatable, relevant, intuitive and personal nature of mobile technology really lends itself to an experience that takes you from 'my shopping list' for ingredients in-store (iPhone) to 'my cookbook' instructions at home in the kitchen (iPad)," Cynthia said.
"The redesign improves the aesthetics of the fresh produce lines - showing their visual brilliance," she said.
Portal Solutions chief technology officer, Anthony Simonetta, said the app's new functionality provides users with a unique experience specific to each device.
"As with all technology, upgrades and enhancements are part of the process. The Perfection Fresh app is extremely innovative and will continue to take advantage of technological advances as they become available from Apple," he said.
"Enhancements include the visual presentation of Perfection Fresh's selected specialty lines and recipes, a new landing screen replacing tab bars, and a faster, more seamless interface with social media. It now takes fewer taps to tweet and users can see a live feed of tweets taking place," Anthony said.
The app provides free fresh produce information and more than 250 recipes 24/7.
Perfection Fresh marketing manager, Lee Carnemolla, said Perfection Fresh had been delighted with the app's uptake since its release and it was now time to up the ante.
"This upgrade enables us to reach even more consumers. The addition of a mobility strategy which leverages the universal app, integration of social media and enhanced website imagery and value, will result in increasing brand awareness and boosting sales," Lee said.
"It's all about making consumers' lives easier - providing enticing recipes and produce information anytime, anywhere."
