Pomegranates are today one of the most sought-after fruits eaten throughout the world and the Wonderful variety is the most widely grown. Perfection Fresh imports Californian POM Wonderful pomegranates during Australian-grown pomegranates' off season.

Seasonality

Imported Wonderful variety pomegranates are available from November to March, outside the Australian season.

Serving suggestion

Pomegranates may be easily pressed, and the juice enjoyed as a healthy beverage or used as a marinade or in sauces. To juice, cut a fresh pomegranate in half - just like a grapefruit - then use a hand press citrus juicer. Strain the juice through a cheesecloth-lined strainer or sieve.
