Mango - Kent
Kent mangoes are a late season variety with large highly coloured fruit. The fruit is ovoid in shape, with a red/purple blush, yellow flesh and sweet, juicy flavour.
Seasonality
Available from January to March.
Serving suggestion
Versatile mangoes work well in savoury or dessert dishes. Match with chicken, seafood or pork, use to full advantage in sorbets, mousses and panna cottas.
Did you know?
Kent mangoes originated in Florida, USA, in the 1930s and were imported to Australia in the 1970s.
