Mango - Sweetooth™
Sweetooth™ mangoes are elongated, narrow, medium-sized mangoes with a variable orange to yellow blush, small seed and fragrant aroma. They are approximately 15 to 20cm long and about seven to nine centimetres wide at their widest point. This mango's fibrous yet firm flesh holds its shape well when prepared. It is grown in Far North Queensland.
Flavour
Sweetooth mangoes are deliciously fresh and sweet with a mild, smooth flavour.
Nutrition
Mangoes contain vitamin C, an antioxidant which works to protect the body from infection and is required in the formation of collagen, a protein that gives structure to bones, cartilage, muscle and blood vessels.

Seasonality
Available in December.
How to select
Choose firm, plump mangoes with a fresh, tropical fragrance. Avoid those with soft spots or bruises and be wary of very green mangoes which may never ripen.
How to store
Ripen mangoes at room temperature and then store in the fridge. Fully ripe fruit can be stored in the fridge for a few days. Never store mangoes in plastic bags – mangoes need air!
