Lettuce - Butter

Butter lettuce (also known as butterhead or Boston) has soft, tender leaves varying in colour from light to dark green or reddish purple. It has a subtle, buttery sweet flavour.

Serving suggestion

Butter lettuce is ideal for sandwiches because of its soft texture. Gently tear leaves to avoid brusing. It is also delicious mixed with other soft vegetables such as mushrooms and avocado in salads.
