Silverbeet
Silverbeet has crisp large dark-green leaves, with white veins and stalks. It has an earthy flavour and is a good source of folate.
Seasonality
Available from January to December.
Serving suggestion
Silverbeet can be added raw to salads, used in stir-fries, curries, quiches, soups or as part of a side dish. For best results cook as briefly as possible to retain maximum nutrient content.
