Wombok
Also known as Chinese cabbage, wombok is very sweet and can be eaten raw, just like lettuce. It has a cylindrical shape, with layers of green and white leaves. Its leaves are thinner and softer than cabbage and are naturally curly. Wombok is a good source of vitamin C and folate.

Available from January to December.
Serving suggestion
Wombok is ideal to use in Asian style cooking or raw in a salad. Use shredded leaves as a lighter alternative when making coleslaw.
Did you know?
Wombok has been a food source in China since at least the 5th century, traditionally forming an important part of the Chinese winter diet.
