Baby Wombok San Choy Bow
Crisp and cleansing, the wombok perfectly envelopes the spicy stuffing in this Asian classic.
Serves 4.
Prep Time: 25 minutes.
Cooking Time: 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 baby wombok
- 150g brown onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, purée
- 15g shallots, sliced
- 125g bean sprouts
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 50g ginger, purée
- 300g pork mince
- 300g chicken mince
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 200g fried noodle
Cooking Instructions
- Heat oil in wok or saucepan and cook onions, garlic and ginger until onion is transparent.
- Add mince and cook until slight brown.
- Combine sauces and simmer for 1 minute.
- Turn down heat, add sprouts and sliced shallots.
- Place baby wombok leaves on plate, put fried noodles inside each leaf and add mixture on top of noodles.
