Buttered Dutch Carrots

Buttered Dutch Carrots

 

Give your carrots a shiny gloss, with this easy, yet delicious recipe.

 

Serves 4.
Prep Time: 10 minutes.
Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Dutch carrots, peeled and trimmed with a little green left at top for decoration
  • 15g butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup water or chicken stock
  • Salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

  • Place Dutch carrots in frying pan.

  • Add butter and pour in 1 cup water (or chicken stock).

  • Sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper.

  • Cover, place over medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Reduce liquid until it has evaporated and carrots have shiny gloss.
