Confit Garlic and Saladette® Truss Tomatoes
Maximise the rich flavour of Saladette® truss tomatoes by adding sweet garlic in this delicious dish.
Serves 1.
Prep Time: 10 minutes.
Cooking Time: 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 garlic bulbs
- 2 Saladette® truss tomatoes
- 5ml extra virgin olive oil
- 5ml reduced aged balsamic vinegar
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C.
- Score and blanch Saladette® truss tomatoes.
- Peel back skin without removing.
- Cut garlic in half and wrap in pre-oiled aluminium sheets.
- Roast for 25 minutes.
- Once the garlic has roasted, pan fry in olive oil to give the garlic a nice colour. (This step is not essential.)
- Assemble on grilled Turkish bread.
- Drizzle plate with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Serve.
