I manage 8 hectares of our 43-hectare glasshouse at Two Wells, South Australia. I grow Qukes and tomatoes, and oversee the day-to-day operations and technical aspects of the growing systems.
In our section, we have around 100 staff. While the labour manager oversees their day-to-day activities, I play a key role in the overall crew management, manage the growing systems and directly lead the four-person integrated pest management team, overseeing tasks such as fertiliser mixing, spraying, and crop monitoring.
Perfection Fresh at Two Wells is an impressive facility. It’s a great place to develop as a grower, and I’m proud to contribute to the site’s success.
Growing healthy crops that feed families is both satisfying and rewarding.
I also appreciate the flexible hours and good work-life balance my role provides. It allows me to work hard while still having flexibility in my schedule.
As the Head of Business Applications, my role involves implementing, improving and maintaining all the software that we use to keep our business running. Each day brings new challenges, and urgent tasks seem to pop up out of nowhere.
I began my career as a software developer in the early 2000s, initially working on the fresh produce team at a software company. My first task was to collaborate with our then client, Perfection Fresh.
I joined Perfection Fresh 9 years ago, wanting to apply my unique blend of skills and experience in both software development and fresh produce.
Currently, I focus on striking a balance: maintaining our existing systems which have grown in scale and complexity as the business has grown, while introducing new solutions that will enable that growth to continue well into the future.
I’m Mihaela, the Mangoes, Melons & Pines (MMP) Category Sales Manager, responsible for key accounts such as Coles, Costco, and the independent market.
As the MMP Category Sales Manager, I collaborate with internal teams to execute sales strategies, drive volume and value, and manage customer relationships. I work closely with customer buying teams on forecasting, promotions, and sales performance, while also handling communication across orders, accounts, and marketing. I help develop sales, pricing, and promotional strategies, and analyse market trends to inform future sales planning.
During my time at Perfection Fresh, I’ve found a strong culture of respect, collaboration, and open communication. The company promotes diversity, work-life balance, innovation, and recognises both team and individual contributions. Personally, the motivating, thriving, and challenging work environment has inspired me to push for the best outcomes for our business, stakeholders, and customers.
I’m a working mother of two (6 and 9 years old). When I started at Perfection Fresh in 2020, my children were very young, so the flexibility to attend school events like Mother’s Day, awards ceremonies, and sporting activities was crucial. The ability to work from home when the kids were sick or had appointments, and to manage school pick-ups and drop-offs, played a big role in maintaining my family’s wellbeing. One of the things I truly appreciate about Perfection Fresh is its focus on family and work-life balance.
I started working for Perfection Fresh in 2020. Daily, I oversee the growing of the three types of berries we have on the farm. This includes monitoring substrate moisture, scheduling irrigation, pest control, and various crop work activities.
I communicate regularly with the Harvest, Operations, and Packhouse Supervisors/managers to keep track of harvest cycles and volumes.
Additionally, I monitor the costs involved in harvesting and crop work, ensuring that they stay within budget.
What I enjoy most about farm management is being involved in various aspects of the operation. I have a passion for growing and looking at different methods to get best possible outcome.
I work with a strong team, and we explore new methods and innovations that help reduce costs and improve the overall efficiency of the farm.
Hi! I’m Lin, a Supply Development Officer in the Proprietary Vegetable team. I first joined Perfection Fresh as a Graduate Agronomist after completing a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Environmental Science and Biochemistry at the University of Canterbury (New Zealand). My fascination with biotechnology, particularly its sustainable applications in horticulture, drove me to pursue a role in agriculture.
As a Supply Development Officer, I look after the Order Fulfilment of Cauli-Blossom®, Baby Cos Lettuce, and Bambino® Baby Wombok. On top of this, I also work with new varieties. This includes close communication with growers and internal teams to coordinate trials that support research into new genetics, optimising yields, and, at times, the commercialisation of new products. A recent project that I’ve been working on is the launch of Florentini®, a Bunched Cauli-Blossom line, into Woolworths.
What I enjoy most about my role is the diversity it offers. With a mix of farm visits, hands on technical tasks, and office-based responsibilities, my day is never boring! I especially value having visibility across the supply chain. Being involved from the early stages of the crop all the way through to order fulfilment has given me a deep understanding and appreciation for the process. From small changes in growing methods to final packaging decisions, I’ve seen how anything and everything can influence the overall success of a product.
I grew up on a vegetable farm in Werribee, Victoria and have been connected to fresh produce from a very young age.
At Perfection Fresh, I look after Broccolini® and brassica produce. My role can be quite fluid. I have a great team who work really hard, and my role is to help all stakeholders achieve their needs.
I engage with stakeholders right across the entire supply chain, from seed breeders, nurseries, growers, and our significant customers.
In short, I make sure our produce is always available where and when customers want to buy them.
Broccolini® has a high profile, and the team is sometimes in the spotlight. It certainly keeps us motivated. Things generally run to plan, but when things go wrong there is lots of support from many across the business.
When I meet new people, I do find most have a positive Broccolini® experience they wish to share.
Each season brings new challenges, and you always continue learning. Fresh produce is never dull. I love the fast-paced environment and the challenges mother nature; our suppliers, and customers throw at us.
I love the challenge of exceeding our customer and supplier expectations, and setting and achieving goals, whether sales or quality targets.
Seeing our products looking fantastic on store shelves and in people’s baskets, I also get a buzz.
Supplier and product development is exciting. Bringing a new supplier into the business or a new product to the customer and seeing it flourish is rewarding.

- Receive mentorship from industry leaders during structured rotations.
- Join the Perfection Fresh team—a supportive environment dedicated to delivering high-quality produce to Australians.
I completed my Bachelor of Agriculture with a major in Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Melbourne. I hope to pursue a career in horticulture and inspire a greater understanding of horticulture in those around me.
I chose the Perfection Fresh graduate program as it provides the space for creativity and innovation in horticulture, but also because the rotations across various parts of the company
provide an opportunity for learning and integration across the different practices.
I studied a Bachelor of Arts with majors in applied psychology and business) at The University of Notre Dame (Broadway Campus). I hope to pursue a career within human resources to become a human resource manager.
I chose this Perfection Fresh graduate program as it offers many benefits, such as working in a variety of Perfection Fresh’s business units, gaining insights into the fresh food industry, as
well as the chance and opportunity to learn new skills and gain corporate experience.
It was a privilege to be selected for this graduate program, considering the competitive nature of the selection process. I feel fortunate to have been given this opportunity, having completed my orientation and met the current and past graduates. It is a great team and organisation to kick-start my corporate career. I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills, grow, learn, and be challenged along the way.
I completed my master’s degree in agricultural science (specialisation in agriculture) from the University of Southern Queensland and a bachelor’s degree in agriculture (honours)
in Nepal.
I am originally from Nepal and came to Australia in 2022 to pursue my master’s degree. My passion for agriculture began early when I helped my father in his agri-business, witnessing
firsthand the challenges small farmers face in understanding farming systems. This inspired me to further my education in agriculture. I aim to become a highly skilled professional in agriculture, dedicated to supporting farmers, rather than pursuing a specific title.
As a graduate, I hope to develop hands-on agricultural skills, learn about the advanced use of modern technology and sustainability, and contribute to the farming community by supporting farmers in improving their practices.
The graduate agronomist program at Perfection Fresh offers an 18-month immersive experience in a diverse and culturally rich work environment. What attracted me most is the opportunity to gain hands-on practical knowledge in every aspect of farming—something that course books alone cannot provide.
From understanding the farm operations to how the products reach the consumer, this program provides a comprehensive learning experience. I believe it offers newly graduated students not only valuable skills in farming but also exposure to various sectors within the company, making it an exceptional opportunity for professional growth.
